Do you like this website? Do you need a new website, or an overhaul of your existing site?I’m Tom Jones, creator of KineticBaltimore.com. I’ve built many websites and online databases, and designed and redesigned sites for a wide variety of clients. I have experience leading the Engineering group of a business consulting firm, consisting of a team of eleven software developers. There, I delivered more than $2 million in projects with customers ranging from US government agencies, a global NGO, a global pharmaceutical company, foundations, and a military medical research laboratory. Large projects require precise project management and risk analysis; I apply the same focus to smaller projects to ensure they also stay on schedule and on budget. I built KineticBaltimore.com for the American Visionary Arts Museum, the racers, and the public who want to know about the race. My goal with any website or database application is to convey information as effectively as possible. I use modern design and coding techniques to release software updates as frequently as possible and reduce bugs. In addition to eighteen years of software development and management experience, I have a degree in Physics and an MBA. I’ve been certified as a project manager. I specialize in being able to communicate with technical experts, project managers, and the public. Sometimes a key part of project management is effective translation between technical and non-technical staff. I focus on risk analysis to identify the areas of any project requiring the most attention. Unlike many in my profession, I listen carefully to what my clients have to say.
