Depth of harbor at Canton Waterfront ramp?

Post by kestrel »

Hi y'all,
Hopefully (for your sake) no one knows this answer, but: can anyone give me an idea of how deeply the water shelves off at the ramp? Obviously that's dependent on tides, but I am curious if punting poles are a valid means of locomotion in the water or if it gets too deep or too soft too fast.

Thanks!

An interesting question! As best I can tell from http://fishing-app.gpsnauticalcharts.co ... 7/-76.5722 the water is about 22 feet deep right at the end of the pier, and hits 30 feet deep not far beyond the end where sculptures often go. You'd need a mighty long pole.
