Volunteer for the 2023 Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race!

Kinetic Volunteers:

Here comes Spring -- and the 2023 Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race! Plan to be in Baltimore twelve weeks from today on Saturday, May 6!

Something this amazing doesn't happen by itself. The race needs many volunteers, people just like YOU. You should come to one or both of these volunteer meetings:

* Wednesday, April 12 at 6:30pm
* Saturday, April 29 at 10:00am

Both are on the third floor of the Jim Rouse Visionary Center next to the American Visionary Art Museum: 800 Key Highway in Baltimore. Come alone or bring your friends! Put these dates on your calendar!

There are many ways to volunteer. Most are during the race, but you can also help prepare days in advance or early Saturday morning. We need eager volunteers for:

* Building & operating the mud and sand pits
* Being Kinetic Medics (especially if you have medical experience)
* Engaging the crowd and answering questions
* Clearing morning tidal debris at the Canton water entry
* Serving on the Marine Posse (if have a kayak and know how to use it)
* Marking the race course so racers don't get lost
* Inspecting sculptures for safety checks
* Protecting and Serving as Kinetic Kops
* Holding banners at the finish line for racers to tear through
