Attention all Kinetic Volunteers:

The magnificent Fifteenth Annual Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race will take place May 4. Volunteers should come to at least one of these meetings:
  • Saturday, April 13, 10am-noon
  • Thursday, April 25, 6:30-8:30pm
Put them on your calendar! Don't be late! Both meetings are in the Jim Rouse Visionary Center next to the American Visionary Art Museum at 800 Key Highway in Baltimore. There should be plenty of parking along Covington Street and nearby roads--bring coins or a credit card for the meters. Food will be provided.

For the latest information about volunteering (or if you know someone else who wants to join this list) visit

There are many volunteer assignments! Most are during the race, but others can be completed in the preceding days, or early Saturday before the race. We need eager volunteers for:
  • Creating the mud and sand pits
  • Serving on the Marine Posse (if have a kayak, tell one of the meeting organizers!)
  • Being Kinetic Medics (speak up if you have medical expertise!)
  • Cleaning sea debris from the Canton ramp
  • Inspecting sculptures at the safety check
  • Preparing signs
  • Holding banners at the finish line
  • Engaging the crowd and answering questions
  • Marking the race course to tell racers where to turn
  • Protecting and Serving as Kinetic Kops
It takes many volunteers to put on the race--so bring your friends!

See you at the meetings in April, and at the race May 4!
